Deeker

History:
Deeker was born and bred in Portland, Oregon. He is the son of the FSHR Friesian stallion, Kristian and an FPS registered Friesian mare. He had a diverse experience in Western riding. When we brought him to Texas he became everyone's favorite riding horse, because of his smooth gaits and gentle disposition. He was retired from hard riding and competition, however, when he broke his fetlock bone in 2008. He is still sound and used for light riding, but now has a more pampered life as a breeding stallion.

Breeding:
Deeker's has rare and desirable genetics from both branches of his famly tree. Deeker's conformation is unusual for a Friesian: he is very light bodied with long legs, a more elegant style. His disposition towards humans is very gentle and affectionate. Deeker's foals have all most clearly shown this sweet demeanor in addition to his tall, lean body type. We have been told many times that he is the most beautiful horse anyone has ever seen.

Characteristics:
Deeker is a warrior. He charges wild boars and investigates loud noises. He is very intelligent and curious. But his most endearing attribute is that he displays the closest thing to friendship that we have every seen in a horse. He always comes up at a whistle, ready to load himself in the trailer and go somewhere. He stays nearby without a lead rope for extended periods and seems to enjoy doing things together.

Deeker is not presented primarily as a sport stallion. His gaits are not as pronounced or elevated as Rintse. His gaits more resemble a dressage bred thoroughbred. However, there is sport ability in his bloodlines. Deeker is the half brother to Ducati, the USDF Gold, SIlver and Bronze Medal stallion, shown in Grand Prix
